2008 rxt 255

Hey guys looking for some assistance. I have a 2008 rxt 255 that most likely has bad fuel. However it ran enough for me to launch and drive and dock at house. However the next week when I tried to go run ski to try and run fuel out with sea foam added the ski would not beep when I put key on post. I ordered a dess post and installed it which it appears as previous owner had already done that as well due to I could see the wires spliced. Also it appeared that a 4 wire was installed but, maybe only a 3 wire was originally on it. Just weird one of the 4 wires went to another completely different connector. However I installed the dess post and the key was recognized. Ski turned over and would not crank. Finally ski cranked and I turned it off pretty quickly as I was not in water yet. That was the last time it cranked. I have put new battery in but, the ski will not crank now at all. Not sure what direction to go in because of so many variables and I’m not a mechanic by any means. Just do enough to tear things up most of time but, I have no fear. Any help would be appreciated.
