2004 Speedster Fuel Gauge Reading Wrong

My 2004 Speedster has a problem with the fuel gauge. It reads empty at 1/2 full. Anyone know how to adjust the pick up?

It's more than likely the float in the pick up is gas logged. Take it out and check it. Check the magnets are in it and float it in gas as water is a different density, and see if it floats. As the float raises up the tube it sends resistance to the gauge.
