2004 GTX LE Engine replacement worth it?

Hi everyone,

I have a 2004 GTX LE 4 Tec that was essentially free, but it has a blown engine. I paid a very nominal value for it.

I was wondering if it's worth it to get a new engine and get it running? It looks like on a few sites about 2500 to 3000 would do it. All other parts are in great condition and the machine is in great physical shape.

Any advice would be appreciated.

It's worth it as long as you don't overspend on parts and don't mind donating your own labor time to do it. If it's clean and in good shape, it will be worth at least $3500 in good running condition.

Really appreciate the feedback! It is in great shape and I figure I'll get years out of it since it will be a new engine!
