2003 GTX 4-Tec 185 Leaking Oil - PTO Shaft seal

Has anyone ever had their PTO driveshaft seal fail or seen leakage due to improper installation? To be sure that this is mostly a leak and not just oil consumption I temporarily disconnected the siphon tubes so nothing would be sucked out of the bilge and found that the oil is definitely leaking out. Anyone have other thoughts on where a 2oz per hour leak might come from?

I bought a 2010 Seadoo Wake Edition Pro 215 this year and major oil was coming from where there is a bellow , the pump had been worked on prior to my purchase , oil was not just leaking but squirting a liter an hour . Turned out a seal had not been installed during repair . Seller covered the repair cost $1200
