I have a hole in the front piston with 65 hours on it, What is the most likely cause? I have had the carbs rebuilt after sitting for nearly 5 years. The oil level is fine. I'm guessing the oil lines may be clogged. any ideas?

A lean condition caused it to pre-detonate, either from bad seals letting air in, or
bad carb hi & low adjustments. What does the piston look like?

Yup, that looks like detonation. Did you use fresh gas? Old gas will do this.

I didn't get a picture of the top of the piston , but it was black and sooty. I removed the rave valves and they were both very stuck. Would that cause a lean condition? I don't know if they were stuck pre or post meltdown. I only use High Grade gas in my boats. and I just rebuilt the carbs last year, I suppose i could have screwed something up, but this thing ran great until it popped. The speedo said I was going 65mph, I doubt that, but it was running at top speed.
