My 1996 gti seadoo will not turnover. It worked perfectly when I took it out a month ago. I just replaced the solenoid and spark plugs. I was thinking of taking the jet pump out and inspecting the impeller for rocks that might be making the drive shaft stuck but I really doubt there is any rocks in there. I can't freely turn over the drive shaft. I'm not if it is the impeller, starter, or engine that is seizing of the shaft. I really doubt that the engine is seized and the battery is good. The starter might be the issue but again, it was working perfect a month ago. If someone can lead me in the right direction for this repair it would be greatly appreciated.

First pull the plugs, then try to turn the engine over. If theres any binding theres in issue.
One thing to eliminate a seize, remove the spark plugs and use a wooden dowel to push the pistons up and down...if you can do that then you are ok for that problem.
If it cranks but won't start then check for spark, & gas. If it won't crank then check the connections, battery, solenoid, etc. Try jumping the solenoid and see what happens.
Do a compression test and repost the results.

I agree :agree: remove the spark plugs and the drive cover to expose the pto & drive, and look in the impeller tunnel from both ends for anything lodged within the tunnel. Then try turning the pto both directions to see if any play. If so, try bumping the starter over. If nothing,
you will need to remove the jetpump from the ski. Either it is froze or its the motor. Keep us posted. What & when was last work done on ski?

Thanks guys for the advice. Today, I tried pushing the pistons with a dowel and could not get them to budge. I took the housing off the impeller and the grate and it looks like nothing is fouling the impeller. The seadoo had a full service about two months ago right after I purchased it. I took out the seadoo two times since that service and it was working great. Last time I had it running was when I was flushing it after my 2nd time riding it. I tried taking it out a week later from the last time I used it and this is when I realized that the doo would not start. When they serviced the seadoo, I'm pretty sure they changed the oil on the jet pump. I ran out of time today but I'm going to get back to troubleshooting it tomorrow. I have a few more questions, I'm not sure really how the starter actuates the fly wheel/pto but could it be possible that my starter is stuck some how and impeding me from turning over my motor. Every time I hit the start button, the flywheel moves about 1/16 to 1/8 of a inch. The starter seems like it has enough juice to turnover the motor. When I put my hand on the fly wheel I could feel the torque of the starter. It is hard for me to believe but it is starting to seem like either my engine or jet pump is seized. Tomorrow I'm going to open up and inspect the jet pump to see if there are any issues there. Again, thanks for all of the advice. Much appreciated. I'll keep you guys posted.
Yes, I have the sparkplugs out when trying to turnover.
I noticed earlier in this thread you said you flushed the engine. When you flushed did you start the engine turn the water on, turn the water off and then stop the engine?
Like Bill said above you need to remove the pump to determine if the motor or the pump is seized, it should only take about 20 mins. to remove the pump, maybe a little longer if you've never done it before.

Oh man...I think he filled the motor with water, or the pump was not sealed correctly. Is it being ridden in salt or freshwater?
