Hi fellow enthusiasts. Bought myself a barn find 1993 GTX, it’s in good condition a few minor dings in the hull and cracking in the jet mount bay. Carbs are rebuilt after following Micidymac post on rebuild. Thankyou.Got the jet pump out stripped and currently painting it with Seajet anti fowling 2 part treatment. Bought a new Drive shaft which surprised me being available. Reason being that the corrosion was right on the impeller seal location. This bring me to a point. I have bought a replacement impeller/drive shaft seal, which is very much like the original in all formats. I have seen a two piece seal and wondered if a two piece would be better than the original and would like to know if a two piece would fit my 580 pump and drive shaft?
