Hi
I have a friends 1997 seadoo GTI in my shop that I rebuilt the carbs on and replaced the fuel lines. After completing, all went well. It fired up and ran well for about a month. He a few days ago he called and said it will no longer turn over. So I brought it back to my shop and charged the battery and tested it with a battery tester, all tested fine.
When I plug in the dess safety cap it did not beep twice so I decided to test the post. I disconnected the connector under the front cover with the 3 wires, Black, White Gray and Black Yellow.
With the cap off the measurements were as follows-
Black/Gray to center of post = 0 Ohms
Black to post ring = 0 Ohms
With the cap placed on the post
Black/Yellow to Black = 126 Ohms
My question, is the 126 Ohms between the Black/Yellow and Black a normal reading or should it be 0 Ohms.
I did not get the two beeps when I plug the cap onto the post so I checked the buzzer/beeper by connecting it directly to 12 volts and did not get a beep, so I know it is bad and have another ordered.
But the starter is not energizing either with everything connected. I also checked my 5 amp and 15 amp fuses and both are good. (visual and checked with ohm meter)
I appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks
JB
