1997 XP no spark

I’m working on a 97 xp that has no spark. I’ve checked all the easy stuff fuses grounds ect. I have no pulse on the white wire on the coil. I have power at the red/purple wire at the cdi plug and I checked for voltage at the yellow/white wire coming from the trigger both at the mag cover and at the cdi plug. It’s .05v while cranking, and nothing when not cranking. Is that in spec? Anyone have any other thoughts on what to test or is it looking like a bad cdi?

Well since no one has jumped into my post I will post another question. The fact that I get a voltage signal from the trigger when cranking means it's working right? I think that with power to the CDI/MPEP and signal from the trigger and no pulse signal at the coil it's most likely a MPEM/CDI failure. Does that make sense?
