96 XP no spark (again)

I posted in a previous thread titled "96 XP NO SPARK (complicated case and I'm desperate)" about my spark issue, but that thread seems to have gone stagnant. All the tests I have done are listed there. I have attempted the things said in that thread but to no avail. I have attempted everything... I mean everything. The only thought I have left is to buy a whole new gray box and pray it works.

I put in a brand new ignition coil and still no spark. I get a signal from the white wire to the ignition coil when cranking. Grounds are good, and everything in the book tests good. I am about to give up.

If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them.

At the end of your last post you said none of your ignition coils passed the static test in the shop manual. That is troubling and I would find a known good oem ignition coil. Call Westside Powersports.

The new one actually did pass the shop manual test. I still get a pulsing signal at the plug boot. I thought it would be a bad main ground, but I used some car jumper cables to make a temporary new ground from the battery to the starter. Still nothing unfortunately.
