We just got a 1994 XP from a family member. Free with trailer, so little in it. Hasn't ran in a couple years but they bought it new.

It has no power whatsoever. The gauges will not move hitting start. No starter click. No sounds

I checked the 3 fuses in the eBox. The 5a was blown. I replaced it and it blew again without the slightest hint anything received power.

I can jump the starter solenoid and it will turn over, so I know it has power to the box.

Is this almost certainly a bad MPEM ?

Unfortunately yes, try fresh water PWC and westside powersports for a used one

Did you happen to check for any chewed wires. If it blows right away that's a direct short. If look at all the wiring before I spent a dime. It's free to look.

Yes, you need a new MPEM. You can verify this by disconnecting the wires to the MPEM and checking the resistance between the fuse and the ground wire on the MPEM.
