are there two different 4tec pumps? Prop set back, and not? This prop wont thread on to shaft. Like shaft is too short.

Adam, only if I can 3D print them! 8) figured out my prop dilemma. Threads chewed up on shaft. Got prop on for fitment. She may never come off again though

Lol.. u guys rock. Thanks for empathy on my psychosis. So anyone have a solution to coupling these two parts together?

here is rapid accellerations machine part.

ya right... just spline your own shaft.. wth?

What's the plan to cover the gaping holes in the sides?

Hurry up and slap a 70 HP electric motor in a carbon fiber GTX, so I can freak people out on electric only lakes...

Gaaaaping holes you, ask? I thought 4 strokes need more air flow? Jk.. we will make some molded covers that fasten on. Been thinking of doing some really classy ribbed bulges with small screen mesh grilles at back like a Mustang hood scoop. As a stereo shop this will be easiest & fastest portion of project, in other words I will make one of guys do it! (:

Sbrth we build some pretty radical fiberglass stereo crap here, really goes fast when a shop is set up to do all day.

hours of lining up pump shaft bearings and carbon seal shaft. Amazing how small imperfections in hull build add up to big gaps in engine alignment. All good since even SD uses shims on factory hulls.

hey guys, what does fitting do? Looks like it pumps water into the OPAS??? It is supply into boat, right?

This build is insane! Can't wait to see a video of this beast on the water

96 XP800!
Keep the 2 strokes alive!

Awha. Got it . Three seaters have Mobile OPAS. Lifts fins out of water under accleration to reduce drag. So for XPL 4tec, good news is there is extra fitting for water supply to engine on open loop cooling system. Learning fast here. On a side note I spent an hr soldiering in a diode to stock computer bilge pump with optional float switch only to discover Rule pump was dead and its location blocked steering cable. Progress today: zero...... frustration: level 7. Cheers.

Well, for being one of less than a handful of people who have ever experimented with something to this degree, I would say the amount of "1 step forward, 2 steps back" you have had is less than anyone here on the forum would have trying to do this! :)

Why wouldn't you just use the style that comes with the XP? The one that you power when the engine is on, and spins every 30 sec to check for water vs. a float switch that will just bounce up and down 100x a minute?
