I have several 5.5 mm, but do not fit
are way too thick

You need to use a nut driver, and you still may need to grind the sides down a little.

I was going to suggest buying a cheap 5.5 and grinding the sides down as well...

You shouldn't need to pull the whole thing apart to replace gauges just take off the inside cover and unplug from there.

My cornwell sockets fit, but a full 1/4" drive set was $600
