A top loader grate will help keep the pump loaded in choppy water. SO... when it's rough, you will have better top speed. Also, it will help stick the hull in a corner.

BUT.............

A grate that that will scrub a few MPH up top on glassy water. (But who ever gets to ride on glass)

haha acutly i do i will be riding lake george... every morning at 7 or 8 the lake is a sheet of glass .. i will take pics august 27 th which is my Bday .. its the day i go up there ...

but do u think i should get one i have nothing ont here and on ebay it said there is a stock one for sale so it made me think im missing that also ...

If there is NOTHING under the ski... that's not good. The scoop is missing. The very rear of the grate, is the face of your ride shoe. (it's the scoop) Without anything... I'm surprised you keep the pump loaded at speed.

well the big black part under the jet is there .. but in front of that if ur underneath the ski and look up u can see the propellor ... it looks that that part i just posted up from ebay goes there ..

there is ntohing there now though shoudl i boy the stocker on ebay ? ill take apic in the mornin an dpost it up

also i think imma pm u about vinyl graphics

Yep.. the grate is missing. (the "Big black piece" is your ride shoe) The only stock on on ebay will cost you $30 shipped. I'm sure there is someone on this board that will give you a stocker if you cover the shipping. Make a "Looking for" post. Sounds like the original owner removed a good grate, and sold it, before selling the ski to you.

I haven't seen a smooth lake since I left SoCal. Then again... I don't hit the water early, or late anymore.
