why only replace fuel lines with black?

Is there any reason why we couldn't use the same type of fuel lines we use on our snowmobiles? Like the ones in this link?

if the lines arent stamped with, i believe, OSHA aprroved...etc, somthing approved, then if you get pulled over, and they take gander at it, they'll take your doo, with those lines.

Yamaha uses a clear blue hose that's USCG approved, I'm sure you could use that. Not sure about the cost.

The hoses should be USCG, but like the Temp hoses, they aren't always compatible with automotive fuels. They will let you slide with automotive hoses... but I wouldn't chance using a translucent hose unless it is stamped with a UL or USCG stamp.

There are no rules with Snowmobiles and fuel.
