my compression i tested is 115 on a brand new motor, the guy i bought the motor from he said that you have to have some kind of computer to shut the injectors off and then do the compression text, if any one know anything about this is it ture or not cause i got a 2 year no fault warranty

your compression is low, and you can always just unplug your injectors, then test it, but 115 is low -- where did you get your motor ???

unplug injectors, (you reall dont have to) ground plug wires on provided posts, then make sure you have a good well charged battery, and hold throttle all the way open

130 is good on a 951. Do it the proper way, but make sure you're using a good gauge.

Hummmmmmmmmmmm.

This is the second report of low compression on a 951 from that same shop. I wonder if they are just putting in a thick base gasket, and not actually checking the squash band ???

Both engines SES did for me show 120 as well, I was attributing it to my gauge, but now i'm not so sure... the performance of both however seem to be good.

well when i start it it runs and dies right away but one of the tps is brand new so i was wondering id the ideling adjustible like the carb models or it has to be pluged in the computer

they did my 717 motor and it runs great but it just scares me becuse there is a other guy on here with the same question as me if they did what they where suppost on the 915 motors , because i called him todat and he said there is not way for them to check the compression before they ship them out because of the injector holes on the top of the head

i dont know when i get off work i will check it keep you guys updated , but for some reason the ski will not idel on its own i have to hold the gas a little bit you know anything about that'

i just check the compresson with the injectors off and gas wide open it around 130-135 in both cylinders thats not even broken in yet it only ran for an hour at the lake on sunday, but it will not stay in idel

So, just to be clear, the engine from SES does show 130-135 compression? Because that's pretty much dead on...

and the word is "idle".... you are driving me nuts. thanks.

yes it good as of right now , the only problem i got now is with the idle because the tps been changed out the guys here say to take it have it hook up and have the rpm raised to 3200 out of water so its about 1500 in water

no, the guys here say for you to take it to someone who has a scanner to set minimum tps into the mpem, then you can set the idle to those specs -- why, wont you , read the information and correctly comprehend things ????
