What does this mean?

Been riding these things for years, but never quite understood the meaning of this sticker.

Does it mean to just lay it on it's side for a couple seconds, or roll it completely over one rotation in that direction?

To me, it looks like they mean tip it up like that, let the water run off then upright it.

roll it in that (counter clockwise from the back) ASAP - to avoid water ingestion through exhaust...

Let me lay out what would be a typical scenario, and tell me what to do.

I jump a wave, get scared or sense a bad landing, jump off the ski, it lands upside down in the water, maybe even tumbles in the waves a couple times.

I swim to the ski, and approach it from the back, and see this sticker.

What do I do now?

That sticker has been changed on newer skis. BUT... if it's up side down. You want to roll the ski so the exhaust goes to the bottom. Then, (as per the sticker) once upright... you want to roll it to the left to clear the pipe before restarting it.

It's what Dr Honda said. This rotatation of the ski on land counter clockwise is only true for skis' with the exhaust on the left side. You would rotate the ski clockwise if the exhaust was on the right side. You are on shore when you do this. The idea is to get the water that is in the engine to escape thru the exhaust system as soon as possible. The rental guys pull in a ski that has been flipped. Get it on shore and turn it on it's side. They crank the engine while it is in this position. It expells the water. They even start it while it is on it's side, rev it a few times and it's ready to go back out a get some more abuse.

Allright! I have used these since the late 90s and never really understood what it meant. I assumed it meant to flip it completely around, which I guess wouldn't hurt, and would accomplish the same thing, in the long run.

I have never had to do this, but it is nice to know just in case...
