Got the speedster all ready for the first day on the lake. Checked everything, oil, fuel, equipment, cooler full, trailer ready and drove to the lake with the family, wife and 2 1/2 yr old son. Launched the boat by myself, impressed the wife. Turned on the master battery switch and put on the DESS. Pushed off and was going to drive it around to the dock to load them on. Turned on the blower, heard it going. Pulled out the choke and hit the start button.....and just click. Next thing I know I hear the blower quit. Guess the only thing I didn't check was the battery.

At least we made it to the beach and it wasn't a waste of an afternoon.

Pulled the battery and put in on the charger. Hopefully it will hold a charge.

Hopefully next weekend wil be better!

Rule #1
Always start the PWC/Boat at home before you go to the water.

P.S. I learned about rule #1 the same way you did. LOL

Lesson definitely learned. Just picked up a Stanely Jump Pack off Amazon and going to install a voltmeter that I had on my motorcycle.

Hopefully I won't have anymore lesson's to learn after this one....but I know I will!:willy_nilly:

i'm with chester on this one. i always start it in the driveway before i leave for the lake. this way i know i'm all good and i'm warmed up a little. she fires right up at the dock. no need to even pull the choke. just hit the button and go.

Yea me too! I thought I was unique, Thank God I learned. I ended up just buying a battery at Sams Club, no problem since then... I also bought those recharger you hook up to the ac outlet... just in case..
