Hello everyone,

I'm new to the site so any help with this topic would be great.I bought the seadoo in 09 as a leftover. I have been riding it for the past 3 summers(live in pa) and now i'm bored with the power/performance. The main issue i have with it is i want to go faster the 70. What do i have to do to get rid of the govern? ECU or is it more difficult? Also i wanted to get a intake grate, impeller and maybe intake/exaust. I do all my own work on anything i own. Beside's the intake grate is everything else something i can do in my garage? also if anyone could recomend any brands that are the best for what im looking to do it would be helpful. Anybody from pa on here???

Thanks

Swap the intake grate and air intake to start. The 2008 RXP-X ECU does not govern the speed (directly). Only the models with the ECU/gauges with the GPS limiter installed will do that. You can put a bigger supercharger in or swap supercharger impellers, but then you have to get into increasing fueling. It all depends on how far you want to go, how much money you want to spend etc.

So if I do the intake grate and air intake will that give me more mph? I didn't want to get into pumping more fuel until I exaust my other options. Basically I want to be able to go faster the the stock 70. Would a exaust help or what would u recommend?

I fitted the r&d race intake grate also fitted the riva exhaust pipe plus the 4inch fizzle air intake last night which I purchased from pwc muscle I havnt yet taken it out on the water but I did start it and I can't believe how responsive it is sounds great also I do think it's going to go faster than 70 I will let you know once I test it on the water but so far very impressed

how much louder is it with that exhaust?

I dont understand, I thought all after market exhaust came out the back
am i wrong? does yours still come out the original spot?

you can buy/make your own for much cheaper. all you do is replace the plastic exhaust resontator box with a pipe.

Yeah....I went to crack auto..bought a 18" piece of galv exhaust in...don't remember...2"?...somethin like that....cost me $8. I cut it in half and bought a coupla extra stainless steel ring clamps. all good. No increase in pereformance....but it sounds better at wot and at idle. There is a bit of an annoying drone at around...what 3K rpm or so.
