The title is the question... Im afraid to be stuck out again in the water, what about having a troll motor to get me back to shore?

What about a boat insurance towing plan and a cell phone?

Unless you can store the troll and its power supply inside the engine compartment I don't see where you are going to store it.

Besides, you might end up looking like this....

It's up to you... but there isn't a good place to bolt it to. Also... once it's running right, there is no reason to worry.

Tex... that's the best jet ski ever !!

ahahah funny, now to mention it, yes for a speedster at least you have 2 engines... P.S. I do have insurance and tow insurance, I guess I just wanted some peace of mind, getting towed is getting old for me. Seriously, I feel like selling both seadoos and going for new.. however:

I have a friend who bought a brand new boat (it was a prop motor boat, beautiful, expensive as hell), he was going through somewhere in Lake Havasu where the water was low at some point of a channel, the prop actually "broke" off (it didnt go back like it should), and he started sinking! Wow, brand new boat, he had his wife and his 2 kids in the boat, and it was getting dusk already..

So a Troll motor wont work in that situation... but back to a troll motor, I can rig it somewhere in the back just to get me back to the dock... They seem pretty small, I can propably hide it in the compartment on the sportster...

Why not just get it running properly? I have never had a single problem with mine that has left me anywhere. Get the problems fixed and these boats and engines are very reliable.

Bring like 2 retractable oars. They will fit is storage if you get in a bind or run out of gas. I don't know where you would mount a trolling motor at. It would look kink of look ugly and get in the way.

i'm in agreement with every poster, a troll motor is not the solution, towing insurance is, or bring a boating buddy in their ski or boat to bring you back.

How about a JATO pack, not only would it get you to shore in a hurry but it would also look cool mounted on the engine cover.

:drool5:

LOL allright FLAME ME!! THATS COOL I DESERVE IT! ahaha

Well I do have the retractable oars!, I have the air horn, I have the flags, I HAVE EVERYTHING!!, I have insurance, tow insurance, you name it..

But you guys are right, I should make sure its absolutely perfect... ok, will do!

]Hmmm, I'm thinking the flux capacitor from the back of the DeLorean on the back of your Sportster.....

Seriously though, I came across this craft a few years back. I was awed. Note the clever custom tilt/trim installation.
