the gel coat is in good shape its just that the ski is plain and want to change the color. its seadoo's ugly ass teal color and I hate it!!! I seen some of the graphics and there nice!! but would rather paint it.....I have a good painter and a paint booth so just wondering what you goys think bout it or who has done it?? thanks

its a great idea...
its been done hundreds of times.
just remember, your hood, hull have to be painted
replace the mats, probably the rubrail.
a good paint job will cost half what the ski is worth :)

Don't use anything except DuPont Imron paint. You didn't state what year your ski is but if it's more than 6 years old cosmetic parts are going to be hit and miss. Try clicking "PARTS" top of this page.

You may want to contact minnetonka4me for used parts.

I agree with Lou. It's good paint, and will take the abuse.

One word of advice. Don't go too crazy with the colors, or it may be hard to sell. I see it all the time. Some one will put a $3000 paint job on a motorcycle, but then they can't sell it because it's no longer a "Daily Driver" type of bike.

With toys... less is more, And clean is king.

When I went to sell my 90 Si... it was gone in about 3 days, and I had people fighting to come look at it. Normally, people dont even bother with the old ski's.

Jet black. ohhh yea....

just don't do Camo... my frinend almost hit a fishing boat, then he bitches at us when neither of us SAW him.... HE HAD A CAMO BOAT! next time make it bright orange!

you could also look into a wrap to make your outrageous scheme, then when you want to sell, just pull the wrap off and you have pristine gelcote underneath.
