Hey, i have been reading the forums and have done everything people have told me. I have the 98 speedster and have a big cavitation problem. I have replaced the carbon seals and c clips along with new wear rings but still, when i have more than 2 people in the boat it will not come out of the water. It's frustrating, i plan on pulling off the ride plates just to make sure they are not leaking but i don't know what else to do. I have posted on the members forum already and have done what they said. the only other thing i can think of is that my impellers are worn. What insight do you have? Thanks for any info you can give.

Take a pic from the intake side. How did you seal the pump back to the hull? Originally they use rtv on these. Several people on here have switched to the neoprene seal with good results. That is mt plan next time I pull the pumps off.

here is the port side. I did use RTV when i put this one back on but definatley plan on using the seal next time also.

Yes, the reverse gate works fine. You would think that since water doesn't leak into the hull from where the pump meets the hull that it would be OK. I guess i will just take off the pump and the ride plate and put all new gasket sealer and the neoprene seal. After that i don't know what else to do.

Water wont leak where, pump meets hull, but where driveshaft meets hull/accordian boot.

It's crucial that you properly seal the ride plate and intake shoe to the hull to prevent cavitation. Use lots of silicone so that it squeezes out when you tighten it down. Then just wipe off the excess.

Not sure if you replaced the impellers when you did the rings, both should have been done at the same time.

Well i put the neoprene seals on today and put right stuff all around the ride shoe. Put it in the water the next day and seemed to work great. Of course it was only me in the boat but seemed to do just fine. I didn't get to crazy because i still had the hood off. I guess when i get some more people in it and drive it like a man then we'll see if it made a difference.

Hopefully that fixed it. Mine feels the same with 1 to 3 people in it. If I add a 4th is when I feel is really get sluggish.

Hey I tried to get details from him but he wouldn't reply. I only live a few hours away and it would have been worth the ride to see him sweat if even showed.
Take it as compliment he must likes what he see's

We emailed back and forth a couple days and I was really wanting to buy it. I was waiting on new pictures. Why put an ad up if you arent going to follow through with the scam?
