speedster fuel usage ))))

Hello there,
Looks like my fuel gauge is not working (purchased boat last month), just wondering how big is the fuel tank (sea-doo speedster 2003) and what is the gas usage of that boat (approximately), is there fuel reserve thing?
Just don't want to run out of gas situation on the water.
PS: will try to fix gauge at spring.

The fuel guage in my Challenger does not work either (a very common problem for Sea-Doo's) but with my challenger, and same for your speedster; just lift the engine cover and storage area and look at the tank; that is what i do; I think my tank is 21 gal; and with a full day of tubing and wake-boarding i normally don't use more then 1/2 tank; so just check it in the morning before you go out and you should be good for a day of fun (note: i also have twin 717cc 2 stroke motors so my engines are different then yours)

get out the solder gun and pull your baffle.. thats the way to repair that problem..better do it now, so it's not holding you up in the summer.

There is a sticky on this subject that he probably took for granted that you'd see. It's pretty popular and many members have fixed theirs by following the advice. I myself have fixed several.

What you want to do first is determine whether its the gage or the fuse in the baffle. To do this, disconnect the wire connector at the fuel pick-up tube. Take a small piece of wire and skin it back on both ends. Now, take that piece of wire and the connector that leads back to your gage and use that wire to jumper between the two posts of the connector. Now, put your lanyard on to power up the gages. If it's the fuse in the baffle, the gage should read "F" or fuel. If the gage doesn't move, then that might be your problem. Check your fuses to your gages up front.
