Spark when I touch battery

I have a 97 Seadoo that has a little spark when I touch neg cable to battery . I replaced stator pick up coil .I am getting read to put new computer I have no spark at plugs.don’t want to mess up new computer any ideas ?

My 97 xp has done this also the whole time I have owned it which also kinda worried me. I un hook my battery if I know I am not using ski for a couple weeks. But if I leave battery hooked up it doesn't seem to kill battery.

No spark issue. Unplug white wire from coil. Put a grounded test light on the white wire. Crank engine. Light will flicker if everything down stream is good….some place to start.

I had this problem also, 97 gsx, I started unplugging things one at a time, and when I unplugged the power to the info center is when the spark quit.
In about 1 week, my battery would be too low to start it up.
