Greetings all,

First time here, second Jet Ski, first time seadoo owner.

Only have the Seadoo GTX S 155 for 1 month 11 days, problem in the water. There is a problem getting up to speed. Engine RPM ok, Impeller or equipment responsible for thrust no performing.

Dealer closed, today Sunday, not sure what to do. I hope this is covered under warranty.

Please share your though and idea's on what to check. I got the service manual.

It sounds like cavitation, take a flashlight and take a look at the impeller also get under the boat and look through the tunnel to the impeller, I'll bet somethings stuck in there, weeds, plastic bag, stick.

I agree with Lou. Sounds like you sucked something up in your pump. Look closely as even the smaller thing will prevent it from performing. I had a plastic bottle cap stuck in the impeller once and couldn't get up on plane at all.

Yep yep,,,

I strongly believe you have something in the impeller area.

I takes only a twig, small piece of plastic or even sea weed to create the issue you are having.

Thanks Guys, replying to all your feedback. Much appreciated.

Troubleshooting the following:

1- Went under the seadoo, check the impeller blades, notice some small nic's on 2-3 of the blades.
2- start the engine, impeller is spinning, I would assume normality. However I heard a metal touching/grinding sound.
3- It can't be the impeller because its in a plastic housing. Could it be in the Jet Pump Housing?
4- So I am assuming that's on the other side.

The seadoo operate and startup, and there is forward/reverse movement, as soon as I touch the throttle there is a vibrating sound from the impeller section.

If I assume its a piece of rock, that pass through the impeller , but now stuck in the stator/venturi.
Can that assumption be logical, Any idea's.

Does this issue covered under my warranty?

Hi & Welcome.

A shaky or vibrating noise could very well be a rock or something in the impeller area.
You may have to pull the pump off (it's not that hard to do) and check it out more closely.

Could a bad bearing keep him from getting up speed?????

Sounds like it might just be the normal sound when they are out of the water, but you need to have a closer look at the wear ring, might have damaged something
