Sea Doo Synthetic oil

Hi everyone, Newbie here, just bought my first SeaDoo pwc. 2 stroke, oil injection. Do I have to use Seadoo brand Synthtic oil (42.95/gal) or is there another brand that wont hurt my wallet as bad? How much oil will I use skiing around in the bay for a day compared to gas consumption? Any advice is much appreciated.

If they are the skis under your name... then no. You can use the mineral oil for about $28/gal.

At full throttle... you will be at your highest consumption, and that is 40:1 (3.2 oz/gal) So... since you hold about a gallon of oil... you should be able to burn around 4 tanks of fuel to a tank of oil. BUT... at idle, you burn a lot less fuel... so, after 4 tanks of fuel, you should still have oil in the tank.
