Hi guys,
I recently purchased a 2003 Seadoo RXDI - 951cc 2 stroke. Starts and runs great, great to ride etc.
One thing I noticed was at high RPM/speed, it misses slightly. Someone suggested spark plugs however they were brand new.
Any ideas what could be causing this? It is not a major issue, I am just concerned there could be an larger underlying issue causing it (cracked piston etc)

Appreciate any help you can give me.

Cheers, Ash

Hi Dr Honda,

Thanks for your reply, that is a good question actually, I wasnt looking at the revs (stupidly I know). I had a mate ride it who knows a bit about skis and he said that the engine was breaking down while loaded. Thinks issue with spark (or maybe a cracked head?)

Thinking might take into shop and get them to have a look? any other thoughts?

Cheers, Ash

Don't take it to a shop. They will charge a small fortune to troubleshoot the problem, and they probably won't fix it, since most shops won't put it out on the water to give it a proper test.

I doubt the head is cracked. But since it's a Di Engine... it could be a fuel issue.

BUT... I wouldn't jump to any conclusions. If it's running well, other than a top end miss... I'm going to say it's the rev limiter.
