reinstalling exhast 1992 xp

i put a new start on my 1992 and i cant get the exhaust back on. i can put the manifold on without the down pipe but then the clamp is to tight for me to slide the down pipe in. i cant get the whole unit to slide in cause its to long. is there a trick or something.

just replaced starter on a 91xp..whatta mess, ended up having to, undo the motor mount bolts, flop the engine all over the place, just to get the pipe back in there....:rant:

thats what i was figureing i was gonna have to do. just the left side right

i removed all 4 bolts, but then again, i didnt "break apart" the pipe. Could not believe the disaster i got myself into, just to replace that starter...neva again.

my worst part is this ski is sold as soon as i can get it ready, ive been dreading this for a while.
