hey so im pretty new at the whole jet ski world and what not, i have a 98 seadoo xp with a blown engine and i found a rebuilt motor online, good deal, picked it up from a great guy here in my area.. but when i got home i was looking at the engines, they are both identical, but the "pulley" i would call it where the driveshaft meets up are differnt. the one on my old engine is like a red rubber interlocking type deal, and the new engine i have is like a driveshaft would spline into the "pulley"... so i need to swap the pulleys or something??? does this make any sense? any help would be greatly appreciated... i tried using a puller on them but couldnt get em loose or even budge.. thinking if i can figure it out on here i'll be bringing both engine into the shop monday. thanks!

Some of the skis use an intermediate drive shaft, and some use a single shaft. (most of them do)

Yes... you will need to take your "pulley" (known as the PTO, Power Take Off) and put it on the new engine.

install some rope into 1 of the cylinders, then get pipe/chain wrench, around the "pto", might need cheater bar too, then twist c.c.-wise

problem solved! now i am in trouble cause i cant remember the oil and water line routes? anyone have a guide or some info for me about where these lines go? thanks
