we've got fuel, and a weak spark.. when we put all the new gaskets in we didnt touch the rotary valve though.... how would it be possible for that to have been affected? i appreciate all your help.
If it's backfiring the rotary valve needs timing, you could need a new rotary valve gear. This was brought up early in this thread but nobody wanted to listen. When Dr Honda suggests something you should a least listen, he's not usually wrong.
Agreed. Please explain how the engine goes from "runs great for a few minutes" to the timming is off. Granted the symptoms explained are all over the map, which makes diagnosis difficult.
