Dont keep your cellphone on the edge of your seadoo with the seat cover off. One bump and it fell inside and of course it went under the engine cradle. There was a bit of oil under there which made it nice and slippery to get out. Cardboard to the rescue and 20 minutes of cussing.:o

Good tip, better yet DON'T TAKE YOUR CEL TO THE LAKE. I rarely even take my phone to the lake, for some reason I took it last weekend, its now at the bottom of the lake swimming with the fishes.

I think we've all done stuff like that.

I keep my phone in my pocket, or on the work bench. AND... while at the lake, I have it in a water proof box.

I pull the SIM out of my iphone ($500+) and put it into a GSM phone I got free from ATT. then i put that in a water proof box... works fine for calls / text, and it's not like i will be emailing on the water...

I was thinking of doing the same thing. I have about 3 or 4 old ones that I could choose from. At least if it goes in the water you will not have to replace a $500 phone.

I'm not sure about other carriers, if you have AT&T you can buy a Go Phone for about $10.00, and use your sim in the Go Phone.
