Saw this on Craigslist and am curious if anyone has any experience with one of these. Looks like it might be fun for the senior group here ; our XP's are getting a little too difficult to ride sometimes.

that thing looks hilarious, i've seen them on the water.
you have a '96 XP, is it in good shape? for sale? those things are wicked fun.

Both Xp's are in excellant shape, just put a rebuilt from SES in the '95. My grandkids would kill me if we sold either one of the XP's. I love riding, but it's getting a little tough on my old back and thought I might look for something a little tamer.

Believe it or not I had one of those for almost a week. It's a Kawasaki SC (Super Chicken). The one I bought didn't have a carb. or a title. I paid $100.00 kept it about one week and sold it for $250.00 to a guy who was friends the he guy I bought it from.

I really didn't get into it much and never rode it. I can tell you this it had a 650cc Kawasaki engine the same as early Jet Ski's. I talked to a couple of guys who had owned them the said they were fun to ride and were practically impossible to turn over. Here's a picture of the one I had for a short time.

I did get a lot of snide comments from some of the guys on this forum, my brother Big Jake for one.

NICE... the old TS was great. That's the upgraded "SC".

Saber... the thing that made them even funnier was that... along with the tandem seating is that the steering wheel could slide from the right, to center, to the left, so anyone could drive.

Harryb: it's basically a Kawi SX (stand-up ski)... so parts aren't too hard to find.

I think lou was going to get one.
May need some new colors though

edit: NV seconds apart

Ad states that it's a '91, runs great and has a asking price of $1500; seems high to me. I would like to go look at it, but we are experiencing our first real winter storm here and the roads are in rough shape.

No worry, Doc can be there in no time with MR PLOW. (As soon as he finishes my driveway) :)

Installed the engine in late Sept. and haven't had a chance to ride yet. After installation we started it just for a short period of time, need to run the break-in procedure when the weather warms up. It started quickly after priming the fuel system and sounded great, time will tell. I will say Tom at SES was extremely helpful and offered a lot of good advice.

that's the same boat i'm in, got the engine in too late in the season to get it on the water, but the engine looked top notch.
I have another 951 with them at the moment, supposed to arrive today (it better!) as I have 3 day weekend to play with it.

That's WAY too much for that. I see them on Craigslist for $1000, on a nice trailer, and they sit. For $1500, it would have to be in near new condition. (with a very nice trailer) Besides... since it's winter time... that would make the price lower since you can't try it out.

I'm on my way.

This one is not quite as pretty as Dr. Honda's Mr. Plow, but sure gets the job done here in snow country. '62 Massey Ferguson 35, been in the family since it was new and runs like a top. It's slated for a paint job and new rear fenders in the summer, going to have to give up a little time on the water I guess.

Saber: Yes... that's where it's from. Next winter, I may change it to Plow King.

Harryb: That's a little bigger than my driveway needs. :p

Honestly... I don't need a plow... but 2 years ago, we had a crazy winter. One night, we got 26 inches, and then we got 6" to 8" almost every night for a month. So... I figured for $500, I could save my back if that happened again. (and be the hero of the neighborhood)
