Have an idea to install my Lowrance Elite 4 into storage lid by cutting out lid so it can sit more flush. Is there an accessory lid available where this is possible? Had it mounted on my previous ski with supplied bracket but have an idea where this would look much better with a sort of built in feature. Easy to run power from battery to comp liner so no wiring would show.
Have found unit invaluable when cruising 1000 islands area.

Here is one option that is on the Seadoo's.

I think that one is for a hand held GPS which I found to be useless. (poor battery life, unreadable in sunlight) Have been using the Lowrance and it's perfect for the Seadoo. If it fits in it would be ideal

Wow..."you" found to be useless...with poor battery life and unreadable in sunlight...which unit did you place in that glove box lid...exactly?

If you gotta have the Lowrance.....go for it...find a good glass man...bring him your gps and glove box. I'm sure he could fab somethin up for you...inexpensive too. I'm sure.

I have teh Garmin GPSMap 76, the battery has lasted about a month on mine and can be read easily in direct sunlight... which one did you use in that lid?

Magellan Explorist 610. I returned it to the store as batteries would barely last 4 hrs. Love my Lowrance Elite 4. Large screen, legible, included Navionics gold maps, did not even need to read the manual to figure it out, depth sounder, tracks all routes till you clear them, (need large screen for my 56 year old eyes).

I have a 2013 GTX 155. I'm wanting to install an elite 4 as well. Did you have any luck with a flush mount? If so, please post a pic and let me know what mount you used.

You could mount it inside the storage compartment. Cut out a window and glue in Lexan plexiglass under the lid. Make it a see-thur.

Actually I mounted factory bracket on glove compartment lid with 4 small 1" or so long bolts. It clears the steering and easily removed when not in use. This way I did not need to mess up original lid and small holes can easily be filled if no longer used. Will post pictures later. Wiring runs up thru glove box and easily detached. Have depth sounder siliconed to inner hull at rear most point. works fantastic.

Installed female cigarette lighter adapter to battery and Male adapter to gps.
Connection also doubles for trickle charge adapter since battery is such APITA to access.

I am mounting a chart plotter in the lid of my 2013 RXT iS. I can run power wires from the battery, but am wondering if there is an accessory wire already near the storage box. Save me running wires. With the dual hull, doesn't look to be the easiest run. Anybody help?
