New guy from NC, looking to buy Seadoo, what do you think?

Hey guys, I own a 1988 Yamaha wave runner (still running strong) have owned it for 8yrs now.
So I'm not completely new to jet skis
I am looking at a 1998 GSX, the guy who has it said it was running last year, it has been sitting on the ground behind his shop since them, says he just doesn't have time for it anymore.
No trailer, just the ski for $500 bucks
What you guys think?

He has a the title for it, says with a cleaning and a check up it should be ready for the water.
