Racer! Yes i took the rails off and just turfed straight onto the fiberglass, You cant realy turf the plastic rail unless you leave the strip in the rail and then drill new holes to fix it back on to the hull but then you would have screws/bolts on display or how ever you decided to refix it back on, What you said about the 45degree angle is right.. I cut my strips of turf just over what i needed, The reason being is exactly that! I plan on blocking down the bottom edge at a 45 degree angle and to also tidy up any uneven line along the bottom where the turf had been cut

Made up a template for my dash and covered it with carbon film, refitted all my new switches and what not..

Looks good, I like the carbon fiber on the dash, I did the same for my HX build and will probably do the same for my XP build. Keep up the good work. Post some more pics of the turf rails if you don't mind.

go to the link on the PWC muscle page and at the bottom under the colour chart it says that they can do the traditional die cut logo by request...apparently if you request it in the notes section when you order then they will do it for you.

might be something to look into for your next project... hopefully that helps.

Too bad you cant order it without the Hydroturf logo anywhere on it, or somewhere less noticeable...I would even pay an extra 10 bucks if they didnt do the massive advertising with their name on my footpads :toetap05:

Did you painted the engine with anticaloric paint ( exhotermic paint)? I don't know the name in english.. .

Thats the new logo, is the larger white lettering not the old die cut logo?

This is directly off of the PWC Muscle website:

So correct me if I am wrong but that sounds like they will cut the classic logo if for you if you ask them too.

Bigtex, I was just replying to creynoldsmiz, about the logo being huge.. I was not denying that you can get the old style too

I do not like the jettrim logos either. I do not mind the side ones but the one on the middle has got to go. It is a rubber oval sewn in. I was going to remove it but you would see the stitch marks

Progress pretty slow at the mo on the xp build but shes getting there peice by peice :hurray:

All thats left to do is realy..

1. Finish turf off
2. Get hood painted and refitted
3. Recover seat
4. TAKE HER FOR A BLAST!! lol

Managed to get the top piece of the hood done in carbon look.. Took me 2hours to get it right but looks awesome!

Im hoping to get the hood and seat done at the weekend so will update if i do :thumbsup:

Bit of an update..

Re-trimmed the seat and finished turfing the rail on the other side so ive just got the back section left to finish :hurray: heres a quick pic

Next to do is the hood, Im thinking of doing it satin black to be diffrent and to go with the plastics around the steering section, Plus i think it will give it abit more of a race look.. Not sure though to be fair! Could kill it lol, I also had on my mind about the single gauge hood but again not sure! What do you guys think? Ive seen a few with the race scheme going on and i think thay look awesome!

Finaly got the turf done! Those corners on the back were a nitemare lol, Never again! Relised the hood in satin black just dont look right with the rest of the colour scheme so change of plan on that, Not sure what colour to do it at the mo but will think of something, Anyways while the sun was out! Yes the sun was actually out today! i took some pics...

Shes getting there! Just need to get that hood sorted and next on the list is a water test

Update!

Got the hood painted and everything refitted to hood, Done it in straight black in the end

Shes almost there! Hopefully her back in the water within the next few weeks, Just need to finish a few small jobs off and im good to go!

Not sure as of yet Krispy as its not been back in the water since ive done the work, I mean it should hold up pretty well with no issues.. we will see though Thanks Suke!

Managed to get her back in the water over the weekend :hurray: God it feels like its been years since i last got out on the water lol, But so far so good! She ran like a champ! Shes pretty much done i just need to add some stickers/graphics ect..

Hopefully get back out next weekend or maybe one evening seeing as the weather seems to be getting better
