turbostang????
carpet will be tomorrow or wednesday. i was exhausted after building this, took about 3 hours but lots of getting up, down, measuring, drilling pilot holes, screwing. phew makes me tired thinking of it, even laying here on the couch watching the KU/ KSTATE game...
Sorry, twinturbostang stands as seen on green_hulk.
REMOVE the _ from green_hulk since we can't cross post, he has all the dimmies in a later post. Yeah I paid like $25 for the castors at my local Harbor, and got the 2X4's at HD for less than $20. Screws, heck, I'm like HD in my shop. I have drywall screws that range from 1-1/4" to 3" and every length in between all in 3# boxes. I could get all the steel for free from my father in law, I have no problem welding. Well, yes I do and that is do I want to stick weld it, MIG weld it or TIG weld it--too many choices

With the wood, I can break it down if I wanted, I don't have to paint it. I love to work with metal but it took me 10 minutes to cut all the wood to the correct length with my chop saw and stand with stops. I should have made it shorter (I followed his dimensions) because I need to lift the ski off the trailer to get it on the stand, but to work on it's at the perfect height for me, so I'll deal with the lift. I used to swivel castors and two fixed, I have another steel stand (currently supporting a Chevy truck cab) that has 4 pneumatic swivel castors and it's a PITA to move cause it always want to go it's own way. Now I gotta hit Harbor again, I need another stand I think for indoor winter storage.
EDIT: I had the 1/4" X 1-1/2" long lags for the castors, then I run them in with my impact gun (that's how we build crates for machines). I think start to finish about an hour.
REMOVE THE _ between Green and Hulk, all the dimensions are right there a few post in.
