I came across a post which said mixing 2 stroke oils can turn to jelly and want to make sure I did not clog my oil lines or injector. When I got the ski i drained the oil tank because it was not the correct 2 stroke oil and just filled it with the correct oil. Should I have pulled all the lines? How do I know my lines are not clogged or the injector is not clogged? If it did turn to jelly how do I clean the injector? Any help would be appreciated.

What kinda ski and what kinda oil was it. Try mixing your old oil and new oil in a cup and see if it reacts if not you should b fine.

Im with ^^^^.. Its a rare case where the oils will react. Usually says on the containers how well it mixes with other oil types.

You should have pulled the lines, and drained the system completely. BUT... since you have a 951 engine... it's not that bad. Most of the Rotax engines have a rotary valve, and that system holds a lot of oil. Your engine doesn't have that, and you will probably be OK. BUT... if it was my ski... I would change the oil filter. That's the only place that it has enough volume to mix, and cause a problem.

In the past... we've tried this, and it doesn't always show up that way. (mixing in a cup) Generally, it's bad to mix an API-TC and a TC-w3 oil. Unlike automotive oils... there is no set oil bases, or additives packages with 2-stroke oil. Normally, the problems come from the additives.

I would 2nd replacing the oil filter.. that mesh screen is where it will clog and starve the system...

You could add some oil to the fuel and run oil rich until u know for 100% sure that u are burning oil from the tank...

Replaced the oil filter today, what a PITA that was with the fuel tank still in. Good news is there was no jelly or any crap to clog the filter. Thanks for the help.
