So I got the deal of a century with an estate sale ski, sitting in the garage for 17 years. Zero sun fade and really clean, sitting on a galvanized ez-loader for 1k.
I re-did the gray lines, rebuilt the carb, changed impeller res oil, drained old injector oil, filled with fresh xps, changed small oil lines.
The test ride yielded a quick and fast ski, I hit 39/40mph on GPS on choppy windy lake.
My question is would a solas or other prop and wear ring give me any gain? It seems the 40mph is above norm for what these will go. Just wondering if a better prop would give me any top end or out of the hole or both? What could I expect?
