Hey guys just curious does everyone's boats low down almost 15 mph when you turn either direction? As soon as I straighten out you can hear the engine catch back up on the rpms and it goes back to Normal. Also is there any upgrades I can do to this mercury engine to get just a little more power?

The option of cruise control solves this issue as it uses GPS to maintain speed. The cruise control does not use on-board data such as engine RPM to maintain speed. Under a load or on turns, as Lou mentioned, boats will lose speed and performance. You need to increase the throttle on the turn and decrease it when leaving the turn.

Thanks for answering so quickly . Lou I know that boats will slow down, but even on slight turns you can hear the engine bog down and it loses 15-20 mph.

Your engine may be getting tired, but jet drives will loose a few RPM's in a sharp turn.
