Installing freshwater flush kits

Hello,
New to the world of Seadoos so please bare with me as I learn.
I purchased a 1999 GS with the 787 and a 2001 GSX with the 717 and cannot locate a a connection for a fresh water flush.
Should there be one on either?
If not, how and where do they need to be installed?

I think the hose fitting is in the same place on both ski's (SeaDoo didn't make a 2001GSX), but on most later model skis the hose fitting is on the ride plate, looking at the back of the ski it's on the upper left, just screw the male end of the hose onto this fitting.

The stealership sold me two for mine before I discovered this fact, lol. I felt a little stupid after that.

just made me wonder.... could that somehow be adapted for the X4 hull ? some kind of thru hull fitting ?

Thanks Lou. I stand corrected. The GS is a 2001 and the GSX is the 1999.
I see what you're talking about and I went ahead and made a small jumper to ease in screwing it in.

I use this, got it at Lowes. I just leave it on the ski.

Lou and several others are by far, the wiser but, I would say read all of the tech tips for 2 stroke motors and see if any apply to yours. Just because it ran great on the hose or test ride does not mean it has no issues. After looking at this forum for a bit, you become floored at what previous owners call maintenance. I wish I had come here before I purchased. I am sure I would have knocked $500 off the price in 2 minutes. Also, check your gear lube in the jet pump. @ stroke oil: if you don't know what type of oil the previous guy used, assume it was the cheap stuff and read up on oils here. If you go premium on here, you can look up your model's maintenance schedules. Gook Luck and Have a blast on the water!

Lou, I had that on the hose...thinking your method makes more sense/easier.

Are you going to share any of that launch posse? Or are they the pall-bearers for a dead machine, carrying out for that last and final trip?

Well Kevin, the pit crew is going to be busy here through the summer, since your summer is longer than ours I might be able to send them down after the summer is done here. They're going to FL with Ocod for the winter months, lucky guy.
