I need 2 speed sensors for 2 ski's im rebuilding.

1st is a 1998 gsx limited. Part number is 278000849 . 3 wire sensor

2nd is a 1997 gsx. Part number is 278000970 . 2 wire sensor

supposedly both of these have a new part number, but the part number says its a locking nut. part number 293710032

if anybody has these, please let me know. I will pay with paypal.

I know I have the 97...does the 98 show lake temp on the LCD? If not a 2 wire will work fine on that one too. Think I have 2 good 2 wires right now.

the 98 is the newer 3 wire with lake temp. the 97 is the 2 wire. I know the newer one they are selling is the 3 wire, you just dont hook up the third wire for the 97. How much can you do for 1 of them? I would like to have the lake temp on the 98.

thanks

minnetonka, can I get one of those from you? what are the wire colors? I may end up getting 2, want to try it out first. I guess I may just forget about the lake temp

Right now on my 98 gsxl, I have a red/black/yellow wire sensor. The speeds dont work, but I am getting lake temp from it. Others have said that this sensor will not work, but the lake temp is, so something is weird!

No its pretty normal...the magnetic field just isnt right anymore and it doesnt read...has nothing to do with lake temp.

Shoot me a PM and I will take a look around tomorrow. The one on the GTX-DI might be good still I forgot about that one!

Are all three wire sensors the same, Sea-Doo seems to change the part number on a regular basis just to jack with us. The prices vary so much between the three wire sensors I have found which is the reason I am asking.

Actually there are two different ones...The "analog" ones that had red, yellow, blk wires or Purp, blk, blk/blue wires....then the one pictured above. The two wire version is just missing the lake temp.
