i did not winterize!!

i may have made a fatal mistake in the jet boat world. by not winterizing. its a long story. anyway. i have my 2 skis in non climate controlled storage (93spi @90si). im in cincinnati, the temps are frigid. i need to know what i should/need to do in order to possibly save the water flow components of the ski s, which components are at risk to failure, and how to check for failure of said components? any help is appreciated

if you don't have time to winterize; put a 'trouble light' with a 50 or 60 watt bulb (NORMAL, NOT CFL) in each engine bay for the winter... it will keep them a nice 60+ degrees....

otherwise, just follow the normal winterization proceedure, or have your dealer do it if you don't have time...

nothing you can do now other than hope for no damages... a cracked block SUCKS...

Hopefully it not too late. If you have somewhere you could take them to thaw out, that would be a good start. thaw them out and then winterize.

yes, i am goin to winterize

i am going to winterize as soon as i get a kerosene heater that doesnt require electricity. do it at my storage with no elec. just have nt had money to get what i need. ugh!

I know how you feel, but $100 in stuff now, will save you THOUSANDS this spring...

I'm not kidding... engine rebuild, even on the cheap is pushing $1,000

Hmm...even though I would probably still try to winterize the machines, I am not exactly sure you would need to winterize now.

The damage is done, if any was going to occur. Once the temps reach freezing inside the engine and any water that may be present freezes, it is too late. That is not to say that damage definitely occured.

Unless the ski(s) are moved around a bit while temps are above freezing, and the water present moves around and collects in different locations...??
