Huge problem please help!!!

So my buddy basically destroyed my reverse system on my 1996 Seadoo Speedster and they discontinued the L.H. cable. Ironically enough the left is about 10" longer than the R.H cable. If any can help with this or if those mechs know whether or not I can use another year etc please let me know.
