HP limited on 2004 RPX

Bought these 2 beauties around Christmas and finally put them on the water last month. All things have been great until today. One of my ski's is acting sluggish. RPM get up to 8000 and around 68 MPH, but it takes a while to get there.
The other has been great, but VTS will not show and has a sensor alarm when starting.
Any advice on these 2 issues.

My Rxp 215 had a similar problem with vts I hooked it up to candoo home edition and found out it was turned off at the computer . Turned it on and it has been good since . Are your skis throwing off any codes ?

Thanks ryffish. They are supercharged.
How do I find the codes. The VTS one shows sensor when I turn it on and the HP limited one flashes maintenance.
I checked for hoses but will double check again. I do not have candoo...that thing is pricey.
The one with HP issue doesn't have the "growl" the other one has. That's why I thought maybe the supercharger is done for. Crossing fingers it's just a hose.
There are only 2 2inch hoses correct?

yes you are supposed to rebuild them every 2 years or 1 to 200 hours . you can see the hoses . It's not that hard to do it yourself . check out pwc Muscle they have a supercharger rebuild service . And they sell candoo home edition . I believe it's worth the money . it gives you the diagnostic power to fix your own ski without being gouged at the stealer ship. also bad plugs can make them run horrible

When you replace plugs you have to gently pull up the 3 coil packs you will see the plugs they are deep in . when you replace them you have to unscrew the metal tip so just the threaded end is showing on spark plug in case you didn't know

one thing i have to warn you about your supercharger you should get it rebuilt because if it completely fails it will take your engine with it

People on this forum will also tell you to replace the valves on your engine . That is not as important as supercharger. Also I don't know if you run them in saltwater . I was told by a seadoo Tech that you don't have to worry about valves if you run your ski in freshwater.

I run in freshwater only. I am gonna check for hoses and then take off and rebuild myself if necessary. Watched the video from PWC Muscle and looks easy to take off and put on. Can save myself a at least $500 doing it myself.

Are the spark plugs a special type?

No they both have about 125....we have put over 25 hours on them the last month. We are at the lake 2 days a week all day with a family of 4, including 2 teenagers

Plugs are cheap and an easy item to replace. 4-Techs really care about good plugs..

The SC is a big deal... They can fail in a few ways, all solved with a rebuild. Some seize and lock up the engine. Others fall apart and the parts fall into the engine..
If one drops into the engine it is realistic to pay $3000 for the repair as you will need need exhaust valves and at a minimum a piston. Also common to need a head or have the head re-worked.

it's good it turns freely . But since you went thru all the work pulling it you might as well send it out for rebuild
