Hey Everyone,
Glad to find a forum that I can use for my SeaDoo questions. Long time boat and motorcycle owner just picked up a project 03 XpDi with a ruined engine. It's my first PWC of any kind and I'm finding out that I probably started a little ambitious but the tinkering is most of the fun for me and I purchased the ski for a winter project.
A little detail: I'm assuming most of my posts/questions will be asked and answered in the 2 stroke section. If I decide to document the repair I'll post that stuff in the Build and Resto area. The SD I picked up has a ruined bottom con-rod bearing at minimum. Guy who owned it already had the head cover off and the forward piston is flopping around. He mentioned "maybe fixing it and mixing his own gas" rather than the oil injection system. That statement alone assures me this thing has never been properly maintained or even improperly maintained. Should be a fun winter.

The Di ski is a beast all its own. Fuel pressure is CRUCIAL on that ski. 117 psi at idle. Pumps fail somewhat often. Don't use an aftermarket one, they just don't hold up.

May want to invest in a Candoo (computer) as well. You WILL need it with a Di ski in most cases.

Thank you! That was going to be my first question. I need to read up and see if I can activate components with the CanDoo or just monitor. Specifically need to be able to cycle the oil pump.
