Being that I'm new to these machines I came across my first issue. I went out riding the other morning, temp about mid to upper 60's. It took two tries to start up. Is it a common thing for these 2-strokes as the temperature gets lower? After it started, it ran like a champ.

I'm not very familiar with the RFI and their start ups. But on my carb models, it takes a few starts to fire it up in colder weather

It could have been a slightly discharged battery, but there's really no reason a RFI/Di should act any differently.

I'm not familiar with the RFI/DI start up at all. Do they usually fire with one push of the button every time?

LOL...no one has ever argued that the injected models arent awesome, its just when problems arise you better have the K-Y ready.

I just got a 03 XPdi put together and the dang thing does 68 on the dreamometer with a 100lb chick on it.

I suppose I could plug in the charger. I've only plugged it in once since I bought it early August, and that was in August so it's been about 2 1/2 months.

Make sure its a low amperage charger and I always unhook the ground just to be uber safe with the MPEM.
