Handle Bar Foam

I have a 90 SPi and the handle bar foam is falling apart and the cover is torn to shreds. It was a free ski not going to ask to much of her. My question is do I really need the foam and cover? I'm sure it softens a head blow but didn't know if there was another functional need for it?

Do you need it... no. But, if you fall, you could break your teeth out. I recommend rebuilding the foam, and contacting KCR357 for a new pad. (about $25)

eh who needs teeth. Thanks for the information. That was part of my trouble I was having a hard time finding new foam. I will reach out to him when I need that part. Thanks Tony.....

How do I rebuild the foam. Or better yet can I just purchase it somewhere it doesn't cost me $100?
