Nick do you still sell the silicone exhaust hoses? If so, are there color options and what is the price? Thinking of doing together with the tip.

Tried to PM but your inbox is full.

Absolutely, I have red blue and black. $170 shipped on the hose kit that includes main hose, small hose, and 4 non digging clamps.

Alright I'll take a red hose and the exhaust tip. Sending $ now.

The exhaust hose kit consists of the big main hose and the small pipe to waterbox hose. It also comes with 4 special clamps that wont dig into the silicone.

Scott made me realize I never explained what its going to take to get the old one out. Here is what I came up with...well I cant take the credit, my dad came up with the original PVC pipe tool. The OGs can attest. Ive also seen one made with a gas cylinder cap and some welded in pads.

If you want to borrow mine Im fine with that, maybe we send it from one guy to another...It will fit in a priority bubble mailer.

Didn't racer make one out of black abs pipe like the vts removal tool

What size of pvc you got? I'll wip some up today

It's 3" then we took an end cap and cut it. You want a small cap and a bigger "connector" so really you need about 5 inches of pipe, one end cap, and a few screws.

Most will come off simply by hand but I added the bolt for the stubborn ones.

Any progress update? I'm about to start reassembly on my build and this would be much easier to install on an empty hull.

I hear ya, I know that some of the parts have been produced but not all of them as of yet. Im guessing parts will be heading to Anodizing next week sometime. Put your machine together just dont put the battery box and hose in.

Ive put them in before, just get your old one out and as I said leave the battery box and the exhaust hose out and it will be no issue installing the new one when they come in.

I always used an oil filter wrench to take these out, I have a set of two from Mac I believe , but I have two different sizes, they just make this adjustable one now.

I just used the exact same thing 2 weeks ago. Then used a screwdriver and hammer for the last bit.

Twisted from the outside? It's got a tab on it, and I have a hard time believing you could get those in there!

It wasn't easy, but I was able to at least loosen it with the wrench from the inside then used the hammer/screwdriver. It wasn't easy maneuvering the pliers bit did finally get it.

I took a sharp wood chisel from the outside and and removed the flange that holds it to the hull, about a half inch at a time. The whole thing dropped inside the hull in about two minutes. Didn't figure I needed to keep it with the new one in the way. I'm a carpenter by trade so we think we can do anything with a hand saw hammer and chisel. LOL I wasn't sure if I needed to keep the rubber gasket so I was careful not to damage it during the DEMO!

UPDATE: They are all done being built and were sent to anodizing a few days ago. They said they are a bit busy and have a 1-2 week lead time currently. Soon as they get back I will let everyone that order know and collect the rest of the payment.
