Aside from a compression tester, a mirror and flashlight, what else should I bring? How can I tell if it is the original engine? Guys says he bought it from a racer friend who used it as a tow rig at the races. He is selling it due to finances. Clean title, current registration, new battery, and recent local lake passes on the hull, backing up his claims of it being in service as of 2 weeks ago and ready to go. Asking $700 and it looks clean in the pics.

Thanks!

My tip is to buy it and thank him before someone slides in there ahead of you. That's half price.

Got it for a bit better than asking... It's clean. Compression was 148/142. Plugs were slightly wet with fuel when I did the test. I had run it for about 15 seconds before running the test. The engine will likely get a top end for maintenance purposes after this season, and I'll just play with it as-is until then.IMG_1019.jpg
