well guys it happened again i found a deal...LOL Im going to meet him in baycity tonight and we are gonna get the deal done....looks very clean and he says all the starter does is spin and he said he has paperwork for the NEW SBT SHORTBLOCK that was just installed..... he said its the 787 but i want to see for myself since im not familiar with that year xp if it is we are good to go....this was truly a blessing to find this gem

Yep, that is a 787. Same engine as the 97, just a different hull.

yep that looks like a 96, the all yellow x4 hulls were 787 powered, both in 95 and 96.

figured it was but just wanted to confirm....couldnt pass it up especially at this time of year... obviously i wont pay 1400 for it as we all know ....... noone pays asking price and hey maybe well trade my 95 xp for this one depending on condition...

Honestly, it's not a gem. That's worth about 1000.00; it needs new fuel lines, so the carbs are going to most likely need a rebuild and if something simple like that wasn't done when it was "tuned-up", who knows what else was missed. Handle bar pad needs cleaning, there's no original graphics, which adds value to a 16 years old ski. Seat cover is all #%$ed up. You're asking top dollar for something that isn't mint.

I replaced all fuel lines, I didn't mention it on Craigslist because I figured most normal buyers wouldn't understand. I also rebuilt the carbs. I guess the seat i was in a hurry to upholster, I wasnt aware till recently that I could buy a whole new seat from shopsbt.com for only $79.00...In all honesty the ski is really clean, I was shocked when I first got it, the engine bay was extremely well kept, like it was hardly used.

I could have sold it 10 times over for $1000. Im getting offers every other day for $1500... But after listening to everybody here, I might as well keep it, and lose some weight... Lol

proud owner of a 96 seadoo xp guys!!!!!!!!!! It was cleaner than i expected and i did confirm that the engine has been replaced....I ripped the starter off and that sure enough is the problem...when you hit (start) it just spins and wont engage...im trying to get one from 99 spxxx right now he actually just called me LOL ....should have it goin soon and the woman is pretty jealous hahaha....... She made fun of me for an hour about it havin PINK on it so i bought one of those KEEP UP stickers to put on the back and told her that she wont be laughin when thats all she see's .......the guy heard about the fuel lines needing replaced so he replaced only the ones going to the carb and bypassed the selector and wondered why he had a fuel delivery problem a few months ago.....going to take some TLC but when im done with it its gonna be running like a top
